Disaster Relief

Project Disaster Relief aims to help victims of natural disasters like wildfires, storms, floods and earthquakes by working with local and international organizations that provide relief work.

We use these funds to help victims of natural disaster like wildfires, floods and earthquakes. We contact local authorities who are doing relief work and identify their needs and fundraise accordingly.

Santa Rosa Fire Relief

In 2017, when Tubb's fire devastated parts of Napa, Sonoma and Santa Rosa, we started a fundraiser to help the victims of the fire.


We donated 405 pounds of food to the Redwood Empire Food bank in Santa Rosa. Our donations included non-perishable food items, rice, cereals, soup, beans, Ensure, etc.


Camp Fire Relief

Camp Fire of 2018 was the deadliest fire in California's history. It forced the evacuation of residents of many cities.


Sevalaya USA successfully raised $500 for blankets, pillows, sweatpants and sleeping bags for families affected by the Camp Fire and staying at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church shelter in Chico, CA. Additionally, we raised $1750 for the Butte County Fire Relief Fund to support the schools affected by the Camp Fire in Butte County.


Kerala Floods Relief

Kerala Flood of 2018 was the worst flood in the history of Kerala, resulting in loss of lives and destruction of entire villages.


Sevalaya USA raised $2100 to contribute to the Kerala Flood Relief efforts of Sevalaya, India. On the eve of Onam, a team from Sevalaya, India distributed clothes to 2000 families who lost their homes. Materials were distributed at the Apna Ghar camp in Kanjikodu village and in Mulampuzha hill tribal colony.


Covid Relief

8/1/2020 - present


Sevalaya raised $1745 towards COVID relief for the distribution of grocery kits, sanitation kits, dry rations kits, and masks to vulnerable populations and PPE kits
frontline workers. These kits include rice, dhal, cereals, spices, oil, gloves, face masks, sanitizer, N95 masks, non-woven face masks and hand wash liquid.

Sevalaya raised more than $40,000 towards COVID relief for the distribution of grocery kits, sanitation kits, dry rations kits, and masks to vulnerable populations and PPE kits frontline workers and Oxygen concentrators. These kits include rice, dhal, cereals, spices, oil, gloves, face masks, sanitizer, N95 masks, non-woven face masks and hand wash liquid.

Your generosity makes it possible for Sevalaya USA to support the education of underprivileged students. You can donate as little as $5 or as much as you like.

$150 supports the cost of one student's basic annual needs, including uniforms, books and school supplies. $300 supports the full education cost of one student, including the basic needs, plus teachers salary, lab expenses and extracurricular activities support.
